Semax

A synthetic analogue of ACTH(4-7). Semax enhances BDNF, increases dopamine and serotonin, and improves attention, memory, and focus. Widely used in Russia as a licensed pharmaceutical. Strong neuroprotective evidence in stroke models.

Dosing & Protocols

Intranasal: 2-3 drops per nostril (50-200mcg/dose), 2-3x daily. Subcutaneous: 200-500mcg/day. Cycled in 1-2 week bursts with breaks to avoid receptor desensitization.

Side Effects

Generally well tolerated. Reported: irritability or anxiety at high doses, jitteriness, occasional headache.

Interactions & Contraindications

Potential additive stimulant effects with caffeine. Caution with SSRIs due to serotonin pathway interaction.

Storage

Refrigerate solution. Sensitive to temperature. Use within 2-3 weeks.
